FindMyPast Access

Tony Leeming

Hello all,

During the pandemic, my local library is allowing access to FindMyPast (FMP) from home using special log-in details. Using my web browser (Firefox) I can log in and search for data.

However, if I try to use the Family Historian (FH) access panel and login through that I get -

" Cookies must be enabled. Please enable your browser's cookies functionality and try again."

It is of course a very useful feature of FH that FMP possible matches come up in FH and one is able to investigate them while in FH rather than separately.

In the past, I have had my own subscription to FMP and it has worked well through FH.
Do you have any ideas please?

Thank you,
Tony Leeming

The internal browser is using IE, so it sounds as if cookies are being blocked in IE.   A quick work around would be to set hints to use an external browser in Tools>preferences.
