importing a tree

Can I import a tree from find my past, without it adding to my existing tree? i.e starting a new tree
Thanks James

Yes, just open File>Project Window and select New Project and import
your downloaded Gedcom file. Remember to untick "Default" on the way
through and you can reopen your selected Project from the Project
Window at any time.

Yes James, there are details in the FHUG Knowledge Base ~ Importing to Family Historian:

https://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=how_to:index#importing_to_family_historian

After exporting the GEDCOM file from FMP, use the FH command File > Project Window > New Project and import the GEDCOM file.

If after cleaning up the data you wish to merge it with your master Project then follow the Merge/Compare File advice:

https://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=glossary:merge_compare_files
