Adding wills to project.
I suggest that a separate Will event with Date & Place, etc, is created for each new Will or Codicil source document with the necessary Citation(s).
A standard Probate event should be used for the Probate Date & Place, etc, with a suitable Source document.

There are normally two important dates in regards to wills: the date it was written, and the date of probate. The two often follow each other in quick succession as people presumably only felt it necessary to make a will when they were facing their mortality (...”sick of body but of sound mind and memory”...), but not always. So which should you record in the Will event?
Some wills evolve during the testator’s lifetime, being either amended by codicils, or superseded by a whole new will. These events are interesting in themselves for the information they contain, showing the testator’s changes of mind, perhaps excluding some bequests (and people), or making new ones.
So I record the will creation date, the codicil creation date and the date of probate in separate Fact Types, citing the same or different documents accordingly. I guess that makes be a splitter!

The simple answer is to use the standard Will event with a Citation of a Source record for the Will document with Text From Source transcript &/or Media tab image.
It gets a bit more complex if you want to link to Witnesses and Executors and Beneficiaries of the Will.

Just to add that there is a separate (standard) Probate fact which you can use to record the date probate was granted. There you can use the Note field to record which of the executors received the grant (one or more of the executors may already have died) and what was the value of the estate. Hi Wilson, There is a standard FACT for a will. I would use this and then ideally add a scanned copy of the will as a media file either to the fact via the "add media" function or added as media to a source record. I would then use the witness function to add executors / beneficiaries etc.which often links to other related individuals in the project If the will is difficult to read or has items of particular interest, I might either use the note function or attach a word document if the commentary/transcription is lengthy.
