Table of Church fees 1884

This interested me and I thought I might share it for others.  It's curious to see what the Vicar collected for a tablet or Memorial Window and I see that sounding the bell at Knell was not an act of Charity but earned the Sexton two shillings

Interesting to see that the cost of a certificate of (not quite) BMD was 2s 7d in 1884 - *exclusive* of a search fee!

According to the Retail Price Index, 2/7 in 1884 would be worth £13.21 today! (See https://www.measuringworth.com/calculators/ukcompare/relativevalue.php ) Maybe we're not so hard done by!
