I've just tried to enter an attribute name with a slash and been surprised to find how restricted I am. I find I am not allowed to enter a slash, full-stop, question mark or apostrophe.

This merged Individual now exists in more than one tree branch.
So, when you display a diagram chart he may appear in multiple boxes with a coloured ribbon linking those boxes.
That is normal

Use the Plugin as suggested by Mike Tate, I had a few anomalies between desktop and laptop which puzzled me and the Plugin resolved these.
FH stores some data in the registry which I didn't know

It would be wise to create a Project backup before you start just in case of problems.
In the Records Window, on the Individuals tab, select the one with the first Record Id.

Gary, in More Tasks under the Project Window, go to Project List and then Choose Location for Project. Set that to the directory where your projects are.
Did you back up all your Settings and restore

Broken Links and Lost Sources
I had a brief power outage this morning whist FH 6.2.7 was open. PC continued to run but not communicating with screen. Broadband went down but reconnected itself. PC was powered down and restarted
