Hi there,
I'm adding in the rather colourful military record of one of my husbands ancestors. I'm using the Military History Fact Set, which is great for most of the information, but my man appears in

Thank you John. I've now purchased ORA. What a fantastic research tool (and more). I can't think of anything this impressive for recording what/where you have seen something interesting and capturing

Thank you, Mike. I’m using a Custom Fact because I would like to include some qualifying information.

Whether to use a Record Flag or a Custom Fact depends on what you want to record about your DNA match.
If it is simply a Yes/No for DNA Proven then a Record Flag is ideal.

Re: Delimiting Last Name Filter
Unfortunately, it seems that is not possible via the Records Window filter tool.
You will need a custom Query that exactly matches by using a filter such as:
Add if %INDI.NAME[1]:SURNAME% matches

I set a flag for people that I have proved to be DNA proven relatives. The flag switches on the orange box lines for those people.

Delimiting Last Name Filter
How can I list for just the letters I want and not others? For example, I want to list Last Name "Smith" but not get Smithers or Smiths. This refers to the Individuals section, the Stacked Disks view

Morning Mike,
thank you for this; good to know. Now that I have got passed the testing phase, I have decided that it’s quite useful to enter some further information as a value.
