It sounds as if you have identified the father by "jig-saw" identification (putting together the pieces). If you make enough of those pieces public others will be able to identify the father by

Thanks for sticking with me. I downloaded the Plugin, ran it and changed the custom birth tag to Birth, and saw 156 changes as expected. The changes appear in the Facts tab. I'm missing something

Bev,
That is good advice, when I started many of my queries were adaptions of built in queries, no point in reinventing the wheel.

Recording a family member linked by IVF
I completed a DNA test through Ancestry. One match was with an IVF donor concieved family member who I have now made contact with.
Her father wants his details to remain private.

Re: Transferring custom birth tag
You obtained a trial licence for FH V7 so you are fully licenced for 30 days and definitely can download Plugins.
The restriction applied to earlier FH trial versions that were not formally licenced.

Re: Transferring custom birth tag
Welcome Wendy.
There are two methods you can use.
1) In the TMG Tools > Master Tag Type List you will see that Birth uses GEDCOM : BIRT which is the standard Birth tag.
For your custom Birth tag

I also use the “hidden text” feature where I have same addresses in different places, and I don’t know postcode or any other detail to distinguish them apart. For instance: 8 High Street

Re: Note for Addresses
Arguably the comment belongs not to the address but to an area in Salford. So do you attach a note on "Redevelopment in Salford" which lists groups of places that disappeared, when they disappeared
