Re: Ancestry subscription discount
Thank you. My own trees are basically there because I shared them with others. I'm still not quite clear on the matter of trees which have been shared with me.

My example of a Conviction attribute was just that ~ an example of Sentence Template options.
I also suggested Criminal Record and Criminal History.
The main point was to consider making the custom

Re: Prison record
It might be more appropriate to use a more generic fact name/label such as Criminal Record, Criminal History or Conviction.
{individual} was convicted {date} {place} {age}
If you make it a custom

When you cancel your membership, let it expire, then rejoin, you just carry on from where you left off. You don't lose access to anything.

Re: FH7 and One-name Studies
It is not necessary to give each family an identifier. The Search For Orphans query does that for you automatically. You can then select a person in a particular Pool to work on that family.

I don't know the answer but logic says that if you cancel and become a new member, you will *not* retain your user identity - whether visibly or behind the scenes. Otherwise, surely you're not a new

Sorry, hit Send too soon.
If you give each person in a family the identifier, then you can use it to select the family, for example, in an export.

Of course, Robert
I might suggest that you give each family some sort of identifier - I used the Group/Caste Membership attribute

It’s a very simple fact definition. (I won’t attach a screenshot as that will go into moderation).
Name and Label both Court Appearance
Normal Tim Frame: Live
No witness roles

Re: Prison record
Thanks – however this one isn’t that easy
No record of a court case that I can find in the papers (Battersea area of London is very poorly covered)
All I have is the Crime Report from the TNA

On a survey of members of the Guild of One-name studies a couple of years ago FH came out top of the list
But you are comparing two different things – Custodian is a record recording system

How would you use it Trevor? I already have a massive FH7 Project with multiple names for my existing family research. What would be the best way to ‘filter’ out the one-name, would it be better
