Re: Sending a tree as a file
WeTrransfer.com has quite a low limit on the number of files, regardless of file size, as I tried to use it on my tree of 1000 people and failed.

Re: Reassign Addresses to Place Names plugin.
It appears that no one adds the "township" to the place fields for USA records. Therefore I presume it is included in the address, not the place?

Rex

Thank you Mike. I have been going through many of those posts. As a new user there is so much to learn and it is easy to chase that squirrel when you were after the rabbit.

Plugins: Generations Pre-Load Source Clean & Generations Post Edit
I'm looking at the possibility of having to import an old Generations gedcom into FH V6.
Reading the guidance, it lists a number of plugins that may be useful.
Unfortunately I can't find the two

I think it depends on what reports and charts you want to see. If you're just going to produce basic, tabular reports (as distinct from narratives) then I'd suggest a place name of "Battle of Jutland,

Re: Source Records
Thank you Trevor, but as has been commented many times before, your method is somewhat unconventional and for a new user could be confusing if you don’t say so.

My method is to download images of original sources such as census and parish registers. I link these images to the people concerned. My only FH Sources are the census years as required by Ancestral

Location for a death in WW1
One of my ancestor was killed on HMS Chester at the Battle of Jutland on 31st May 1916

Source Records
As a relatively new user I am not clear on how to record source material. It appears (to my dumb mind!) that I should just type in the source of my record e.g. 'Birth certificate' or '1911 census
