Re: FH7 just ending with no reason at all at all for a GEDCOM input - why no error message?
Hi Phil,
A bit more background would help us narrow down the problem.
You say it happens on both FH V6 and FH V7.
Presumably, it has been a problem for some time or you’ve got both FH versions

Yes there is another way to clone a Source record. Open the Automatic Source Citations panel and select the source. Then use the cog menu at the right where one of the options is Clone

Re: Cloning a source
Ian
Looking at the plugin store, it is only v5/6 compatible, so FH7 will disable it when you upgrade.
The plugin store shows it was last updated in 2012
Best Wishes
Neil.

Cloning a source
There used to be a plugin called "Clone any record", but this has been disabled in V7 and the plugin has not been updated at the moment.
Is there another way to clone/duplicate a source record?

Re: phishing email
There is no need to pay for anti-virus software. AVG and Avast regularly top the independent reviews. McAfee has a reputation for being bloated and slowing down computers.

FH7 just ending with no reason at all at all for a GEDCOM input - why no error message?
Hi all,
This happens to me with both versions 6 and 7.
I know my GEDCOM file contains dozens of “islands” and has date format errors but no error message at all? (thanks mainly to

My suggestion – make sure you are running a decent (paid-for one as free ones generally constrained in some way) AntiVirus or Antimalware system and run a full disk scan on your computer.

People WILL get this as it was sent to the family-historian@groups.io email address, which then distributes it to members of the list, so no need for everyone to chip in with 'I got it too' (I got it
