A word of warning with this idea.
With some help from Mike Tate I was able to create a Plugin that set the 'Preferred' flag on Birth and Death.
This makes them easy to spot in the Facts tab - just

Yes it is odd Mike, as FH will even open the gedpkj file and you can extract the .ged file, and the import is the same as extracting the .ged first, then importing.
I have zipped the .ged file up and

I have just used FH V7 to successfully import as a New Project the James Horn family tree info.ged file found inside your ZIP file from Dropbox.
FH only reported a handful of issues plus

Yeah, Dropbox seems to show all three files. The two .plist files can be ignored - they are property list files, basically Mac files that show information that would not be stored within a

I downloaded the file from your link, and Windows 11 handles the file as a Zip archive with no need for 3rd party software such as the 7zip suggested.
I copied out the .ged file and started

Thanks for the offer. It was the unzipped gedcom file from within the pkg file that i was trying to load into FH. The information from other members would suggest that this file is only

Is it not quicker to just type in the first 3 or 4 letters of the surname, and 3 or 4 letters of the first name in the Records Window, if you are just looking for a person? Then select them from

I tend to use the Find dialog only to find people by name. A minor irritation (to me) is removing the ticks against the five "Look" in options which I do not want.

The option is similar for any type of Diagram but depends on which Notes you want and what else you want displayed in the boxes.
With the Diagram displayed, use Diagram > Options… and open the Text
