Re: Media report

OK, I think there are two ways to go.

(1) Media Report

This adjusts the Media Report Options in the following ways:

On the Main tab, click Restore Defaults.

On the Data Items tab, select all the Individual, Family & Source items by selecting the first item, then hold down Shft key and select the last item. Now click the Delete button and OK the warning.

On the Sources tab, untick Show Source Citations.

On the Format tab, select Heading Level 2, click Edit… and set the Colour to white to hide the heading text.

Then use the Report > Save Report as… > Custom Report Type… command and give it a name such as Heirloom Media Report.

Those options will hide all details except those held in the Media record itself, so no Individual details are included.

To add some personal details, open the Property Box of the first Media item and on the All tab right-click the name of the record and choose Add Annotation.

That will provide a Rich Text Note in which you can describe the Individual in any way you like.

Those notes will appear under that first Media image in the Heirloom Media Report.

(2) Individual Report

You could attach the 30 heirloom Media to an existing Individual (perhaps your father-in-law) but they could get mingled with his other Media images unless you are careful about where they are attached.

I suggest you create a custom fact such as Heirloom and add that to your father-in-law.

Then attach all 30 Heirloom Media to that Heirloom fact instead of the main Media tab.

In an Individual Summary Report or Individual Narrative Report, you can adjust the Report Options in the following ways:

On the Contents or Main tab, adjust the details you want to be displayed but ensure the Heirloom fact is included.

On the Pictures tab, set each Max Pics to 0, except for Other: which must be greater than 30.

For Other, set the Picture Location to Above Text Centred, and Size to Custom, and increase the Width to several inches.

Tick all the options on the right such as Inc. Picture Title…

On the Sources tab, untick Show Source Citations.

Then use the Report > Save Report as… > Custom Report Type… command and give it a name such as Heirloom Individual Report.

Those options will show whatever details about your father-in-law you choose and then all the heirloom Media images and details.
