ESPEAK WITH SCREEN READERS?
Ricky Lomey
Hi
I'm suing the SAPI 5 Espeak with Window-Eyes, which other screen readers does it come with or is it compatible with, I heard it comes with NVDA, which is free but not sure if I'd get hands-on training with NVDA as I had with Window-Eyes and will get with Jaws. Ricky Lomey

Hi Rick, If you are familiar with Jaws, you might find our guide to switching from Jaws to NVDA useful: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda-community/wiki/SwitchingFromJawsToNVDA If you are familiar with Window-Eyes, we have a similar guide for switching from Window-Eyes to NVDA: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda-community/wiki/Switching-from-Window-Eyes-to-NVDA And if you would like training in NVDA from scratch, we have Basic Training for NVDA available in electronic text: https://www.nvaccess.org/product/basic-training-for-nvda-ebook/ Or hardcopy Braille: https://www.nvaccess.org/product/basic-training-for-nvda-braille-hard-copy/ Kind regards Quentin.

Hi Quentin,

Thanks for your below advice, I'll probably go for Jaws, how does your tutorials on the transition from Window-Eyes to Jaws differ from that of Gw Micro, which might still be on their site? Only thing is, not sure if the people at Sensory Solutions will include this in training but I'll ask them, Sensory Solutions is our representative/dealer in products from Vispero etc but I don't think they support NVDA and I'd also prefer literal or physical hands-on training to online training, so Jaws seems the way to go. Kind regards too, Rick
