After trying and trying to figure out why full stops aren't working for Cherokee, which is using an all lowercase orthography, I tested it out in English, all lowercased, it also doesn't recognize the full stops (I assume this is some sort of English/European specific behavior to handle abbreviations).

How can I specify in the rule, voice, or phoneme file that any period should be treated as a full stop?

I can't find any documentation in regards to stops, pauses, etc, and how to deal with them in the phonemes or rules files.
