The alphabet to be used would be the Cherokee English Dictionary phonetics, which is mostly English letters with the addition of the under-dot to differentiate short vs long values and tone marks. The language is tonal and uses penultimate stress on each word with a final tone mark of "43". (Where tones: 1=low falling, 2=mid, 3=high, 4=high rising, 43=high falling). Each word that ends in a vowel sound usually ends in a 43 tone.
