Found this one in my records - ship calling Snargate

Well, not really, John. If it was a call FROM Snargate rather than one
TO it, that would remove all doubt.
All it really tells us is that someone knows Snargate's MMSI number
and decided to 'give it a go', be it closed or not

Bear in mind that ships are still calling Lyngby Radio on HF, ten
years after that station ceased HF transmissions (Wiki source)
It makes you wonder what ships operators put in the log when they call
a station that's not listening on the frequency the ship's calling on.
it's not the equipment that's at fault; it's the operator !
