UNID with MMSI 004315001 on 2187.5 kHz
Hi Vesa!
You might have found a new Japanese station - and on 2MHz!!
I can't find any reference to the MMSI 004315001 but I did a google search on the 2 frequencies 1702kHz and 2232kHz and I found this:
https://www.tele.soumu.go.jp/resource/j/material/dwn/06.pdf
Which is in Japanese, but seems to be a list of stations and their working frequecies.
There are 4 entries for 1702/2232.
I copy/pasted the characters from the first column into Google : 漁業用 = "For Fishing"
Google translating the second colum characters for the 4 entries gives:
1) Ine Town, Yosa District, Kyoto Prefecture
2) Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture
3) Kami-cho, Mikata-gun, Hyogo Prefecture
4) Nachikatsuura Town, Higashimuro District, Wakayama Prefecture
and in another similar document
https://www.tele.soumu.go.jp/resource/j/material/dwn/3-4.pdf
there are 2 entries for 1702/2232
1) Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture
2) Kami-cho, Mikata-gun, Hyogo Prefecture
Do you have an accurate time for the reception, as I can't find anything similar in my YaDD logs for this evening, but I imagine anything I received might be badly corrupted, but I might see something if I knew the exact time.
Well done, I wonder if anyone else caught the same messages?
Cheers,
John

Hi!
An hour ago I received 3 messages with correct checksum from MMSI 004315001 on 2187.5 kHz. Every time it gave frequencies 1702/2232 kHz. According to MMSI this should be Japanese station. Do someone have any idea about this one?

Hi, is it possible to analyze with YaDDNet if there are other station recipients coming at the time?

In fact 4315001 was mentioned in this document on page 36/59 as well as frequencies 1702/2232 in the same entry. Google translator says "General business Hyogo Prefecture Mikata-gun Kami-cho Hyogo Prefectural Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives Kasumi Gyogyo". So could this possibly be Kami?
