YaDDNet Outage (accidental)
I was remotely correcting the database errors that Rich highlighted earlier by remotely connecting to the YaDDNet server. While I was logged in I took the opportunity to do a package update/upgrade, and afterwards - to test the auto-start script for the YaDDNEt processes - I intended to reboot the Virtual Server.
Sadly, I messed up and told it to shutdown instead.
the difference in command is small!
"shutdown -r now"
(shutdown and reboot)
"shutdown -h now"
(shutdown and halt)
I'm hoping Alan can have it restarted soon.
