Havana, Nov 16 (ACN) The statue dedicated to Eusebio Leal unveiled today by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, the congratulations for the 502nd anniversary of Havana, and the expressions of support for Cuba in the face of destabilizing actions against the island, marked the news events of the Cuban News Agency this day.

In his official account on that social network, Rodriguez Parrilla acknowledged the solidarity of associations and groups supporting the island, who understand the right of the Cuban people to defend their sovereignty.

As regards health, the Ministry of Health reported today 243 new positive cases of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, the cause of COVID-19, one death due to this disease and 371 medical discharges.

According to Minsap's daily report, so far Cuba has 959,307 patients diagnosed with the virus, 8,284 have died and 949,340 have recovered, a figure equivalent to 98.96 percent (%) of the infections.

There are 1,626 patients confirmed with SARS-CoV-2, of whom 1,574 are in stable clinical evolution, 21 are reported to be in critical condition and 31 are in serious condition, according to the report.
