Representatives of dissimilar sectors of Cuban civil society have been starring in an anti-imperialist sit-in since this Friday in the Parque Central of this capital. The group, called Los Pañuelos Rojos [Red Bandanas], released a statement in which they emphasize that this action aims to show their disagreement with the unconventional war practices carried out against peace in Cuba.
They also position themselves against the permanence of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States, and qualify it as a policy that violates human rights on the island.
It also specifies that the initiative arose when a group of groups and leaders of civil society were articulated in the Telegram messaging platform, based on the need to participate as diverse social subjects in the complex socio-political environment of the country.
