Raspberry pi setup for d4d
Simon, As others have indicated, the Zero will work best when responding to others, and may not complete the decode quickly enough when you're calling CQ. However, can anyone confirm that the Zero is

Raspberry pi setup for d4d
Simon, Have you run WSJT-X on a Pi Zero before? I understand it may not be sufficient for FT8. I'm thinking of running it on a PI 3 A+ for portable work. 73, Ron (KA3J)

Adam, Thanks for your helpful, informative responses. So it sounds like the 40 meter version may be significantly more stable than the 20 meter version because of the lower frequency crystal. In addit

DSB transceiver for Digital mode
Adam, Thanks much for your responses. When making comparisons with a big rig, how much worse was the received SNR report? With the little rig, would you say it was 5 dB, 10 dB, or 15 dB worse? Also, h

Adam, Glad to see that you're going forward with 20 meter version sooner rather than later. Are you getting customized crystals for 14.074 Mhz or is it anothet frequency crystal that has to be pulled

Simple FT8 DSB rig
Adam, What do you think of going SSB instead of DSB at least for the transmitter? I believe this would just involve the addition of a simple 3 pole crystal filter and an additional SA612 mixer circuit

Adam, Thanks for your response. I was thinking of combining it with a Raspberry PI and batteries in a single enclosure for portable use, and use my phone for the UI. 73, Ron (KA3J)

Adam, Very good. I was under the impression that you were just doing a 40 Meter version of this rig. Sounds like you're planning to do a 20 Meter version as well. Any chance, you'll sell a version tha
