What do we do with the small pieces of the perf board? An oscillator for crystal? A noise generator? Or a RF probe? Another project in mind is to make a DSB radio with VOX by 3x3 units so it can be

The price seems in line with similar Chinese radios at $380 USD and lots less than the FT817 which is bigger and heavier. See the Ebay

After seeing the price of around $600, I would just go ahead and pay more to get a Yaesu or Icom for $800 - $900. Or shop for a used icom or yaesu on ebay.

Seems a little pricey compared to what's available and what they offer for similar prices.

Re: Challenge: Building a BITX on a Perf Board?
Hi Adam,
Thank you the reference.
What I sent was a wrong drawing.
The most attractive board feature is large holes just fit to any 7mm coil.
Attached one is the template I am using.

Thanks, Nakajima-san.
Your drawing is very nice. Here I attach my drawing to show the detail of the hole size / printing and mounting holes for IF transformers.

Hi Adam and folks,
I made a simple template of the chocolate board.
It's helpful to consider parts layout before starting parts population.
Thank you.

Hi Adam and all,
The choc-board is a fantastic gift to builders.
It can minimize wiring under block construction.
The board fit the DIY and other 7mm square coils.
