You would need a lot more drive to get any significant power out of the 2SC1969, which means adding at least one more stage. It would be easier to drive the 2SC1969 with the existing BD139. All in all, not work the effort.
Has anyone experimented with replacing the BD139 output transistor with a 2SC1969 or other transistor to increase the power output? It seems technically possible...
