January General meeting and DMR repeater update

Good evening all, just a quick note to advise that CRARC is intending to run a social meeting without a presentation for the January meeting – just an opportunity for members to socialise and catch up. The January meeting traditionally has a trash and treasure meeting associated with it – so if people wish to sell/buy/swap various items, please feel free to bring them along and see if anyone is interested in them. I would comment though that please do not leave anything behind – if you bring it and nobody wants it, please take it home and do not leave it at the hall. Unfortunately I must also ask that people NOT drop off / dump items at the hall as this seriously inconveniences the scouts and inevitably items left in that manner end up in the dumpster.

Isaacs Ridge DMR repeater. Phil VK1PL has made a visit to site this afternoon and investigated our equipment there – despite multiple resets the DMR repeater was not able to be brought back up and has been removed for further investigation. More information to follow once we have the opportunity to look into it.

And a quick follow-up given I neglected to include date/times, the January meeting will be held at the CRARC clubrooms next week, Wednesday 25th January with doors opening at 7:30pm for an 8pm start.

For those whose memory needs a refresh, the clubrooms are at the Mount Mugga Scout Group hall – 17 Astrolabe St, Red Hill, ACT
