CRARC October monthly meeting
VK1MA Matt
Good morning all, we have made the decision to resume in person meetings at our club rooms (where possible). This months meeting will be presented by Dale VK1DSH on a topic of great interest and potential implications for the entire amateur radio community: ACMA's proposal for class licensing.
The meeting is at 7:30pm for am 8pm start and we intend to record the presentation to make it available on the CRARC youtube channel.
Although it seems to have become less of an issue, we are acutely aware of the potential risks of covid and the potential impact on the more vulnerable parts of society (which includes a fair proportion of our members) whilst still wanting to try to return to some semblance of normality “post” covid. As such we will continue to implement some measures to reduce the risks. We are uncertain of the availability of hand sanitiser at the hall, so would encourage people to bring their own for personal use. Masks are not mandated, but if people feel more comfortable wearing them, please feel free to do so.
It is getting to the point now that it is a personal choice as to whether people attend in person or not, but, if you are not feeling well or suspect you may be infective (covid or any other sickness), please do the right thing and stay away to keep from infecting fellow members.
Regards

My apologies, appears that in my excitement to promulgate the advice of this meeting that I neglected to include that this meeting will be our usual 4th Wednesday of the month – that being Wednesday 26 October. Venue will be the CRARC clubrooms at the Mount Mugga Scout Group hall.
