Hi Tony, I was lucky enough to know someone who was about to send a bunch of old data books to paper recycling. Not many made it there though :) Cheers, Ian.

Hi Chuck I'm afraid I skipped right over CF cards so I've got nothing to judge the performance of this little microSD/IDE adapter against. (The last time I used IDE it was with actual hard drives.) No

Wayne, I like the idea of going with SD rather than CF. Now I have a CF system running RCA's MicroDOS and its been great, but CF cards are expensive and not as available as SD. I'm planning an Elf/OS

Hi Gaston That's great news; if you can use the MISO/D12 pin for either /RESET or /OUTP4 that'd be much less disruptive than either the RX or TX pins. And you had the one OR gate spare too; that worke

Hi Ian Thanks for those links; I actually didn't know about the A chip. Reading thru its datasheet produced a couple of "ah, so that's why that doesn't work with mine; they fixed it in the A version".

Hi Wayne, Thank you for sharing that. On the SPI version, the SPI MISO pin D12 is actually unused since the GLCD is write only. So D12 can be used as an input pin, even though hardware SPI reserves it

Gaston, Here's a modified copy of your sketch and a diff file. This is for an I2C connected display rather than an SPI one, so it had a spare pin available for /OUTP4. To do this with an SPI display,
