  Can anyone help me understand what rpcSettings.adminAddres in node.conf is for? The doc says (this is the endpoint that the node process will connect to). What does that mean? Is it for the node admin to use, too?

Originally it was intended for non-transactional node access as I understand it - IE node upgrades, Corda version upgrades, database management, etc.
However, I'm pretty sure adminAddress is now deprecated, or is heading that way.

Would appreciate an R3 resource keeping me honest if I've misunderstood.

It's actually just tech debt and will go away at some point in the future.

Looks like it is a required setting so I cannot remove it yet.

I hope there is no security hole by keeping that setting in node.conf.
