Yes, but as this is the third such request and I expect that many in the list would prefer not to see them, I’d ask others to just wait 24 hours by which time an invoice should have arrived confirming receipt of the order.

A reminder of a post elsewhere: we received two apparent attempts to order that did not have a form attached, from persons with the initials MD and KH.

For the who use apple computers, you can sign with the preview app as well. Tools/annotate/signature. You will have to have made a signature and taken a photo with the camera on your computer.
For iPad users, besides acrobat, Good Reader is another app that you can use for a freehand signature.
You can also take a screen shot of the completed form and open it and use then markup panel to add a freeform signature.

Dan, I too would like an autographed copy of both books as per the option on the PDF form, however, as you know I too am in Australia... however I am taking this opportunity to reserve my copy at this price. Please let me know if this is not workable, I'm happy to wait a bit longer and would hope that shipping would not be more than $40?

Stephen, Rick,

First of all everyone here is horrified at the news coming out of Australia. This is truly the year where environmental catastrophes can no longer be denied but it is difficult to imagine that anyplace can have been harder hit. I hope that you’ve been able to keep breathing some clean air and that the situation will rectify itself, although it doesn’t look like this will be soon.

With respect to shipping I would say place your orders and we will figure something out from the pressroom. My recollection is that Australia is subject to the same rates as Europe but the printer is getting skittish about shipping to all these faraway places. The reason we put the limitation on countries is that in much of the world we have to send the packages by registered mail, since if an unregistered package looks like it might contain anything of value it may never get to its destination. That, at least, is one problem that Australia does not currently have.

My free version of Adobe Acrobat allowed me to create a digital signature--my very first digital signature!:-)

How do you do that?
Assuming you have Adobe Acrobat, you can do the following:
  1.  Save the PDF order form to your computer.
  2.  Open it up in Adobe Acrobat
  3.  Put your cursor in the Signature Field
  4.  It will then prompt you to create a digital signature. You can purchase certificates or use your computer. I just used my computer.
  5.  Just follow along the steps from there.

I have gotten to Step 4 where I created the digital signature. I will fill out the form later this afternoon.

I have Adobe Acrobat paid version that comes with the Adobe suite of products. I am assuming, though I might be wrong, that the free version of Acrobat should do the same thing.

I hope this helps.

Kevin

As of this time, 10:23a.m. PST, I have been through all the posts regarding submitted order files being rejected.

At 9:36a.m. PST, today Friday Jan 10, I sent my digitally signed order form (probably the form preceding your oder form #2) to the sales address that Sterling gave me in his post that is time stamped Jan 09, 2020 at 10:51p.m. PST. To this point in time I have not received any "system type" post saying that my post has been rejected.

In the face of this, I am therefore not completing and mailing a second order form using your form #2--or, should I be submitting an order using form #2?

Appreciate your further advice.

Doug,

The situation is such that Im not sure of what you were up to with Sterling, but one way or another an order came in from you at 9:37 PST for one book.

The question is paying WHOM. PayPal requires a recipient email address, a choice between paying to Friends and Family (fee-free) or for Goods and Services (recipient pays fee). The form lists tax as 7.5%, but that varies by state and locale.

I don’t know. The order form doesn’t require payment. It generates an invoice that gives instructions for the many choices one has. You can pay in Bitcoin if you like.

Your order was received. We’re gong to do a full batch of invoices late tonight so everyone who placed an order today should get their invoice early tomorrow morning.

Paypal is the easiest way for us to accept payment, but we can also accept other types if needed. Just let us know once you receive the invoice. The invoice will come from paypal but if you want to pay some other way, just reply to it and let us know how you’d like to pay.

Thank you very much, Sterling, for your confirmation and all your assistance with Dan's book.

I will be sure to pay the invoice tomorrow.

Sincerely,
Kevin
