Your order was received. We’re gong to do a full batch of invoices late tonight so everyone who placed an order today should get their invoice early tomorrow morning.

Paypal is the easiest way for us to accept payment, but we can also accept other types if needed. Just let us know once you receive the invoice. The invoice will come from paypal but if you want to pay some other way, just reply to it and let us know how you’d like to pay.

Hello Ignacio,

You have gone beyond my pay grade, which is easy to do.

I just finished filling out the form. I did not get that error, so I am unable to advise you further.

I hope the rest of the process goes smoothly.

Sincerely,
Kevin

I do have Adobe Acrobat and I created a digital signature on my computer but I get this error:

Adobe Acrobat DC error.
Bad parameter.

I guess I’ll have to do it the old fashion way.
Thanks anyway Kevin

How do you do that?
Assuming you have Adobe Acrobat, you can do the following:
  1.  Save the PDF order form to your computer.
  2.  Open it up in Adobe Acrobat
  3.  Put your cursor in the Signature Field
  4.  It will then prompt you to create a digital signature. You can purchase certificates or use your computer. I just used my computer.
  5.  Just follow along the steps from there.

I have gotten to Step 4 where I created the digital signature. I will fill out the form later this afternoon.

I have Adobe Acrobat paid version that comes with the Adobe suite of products. I am assuming, though I might be wrong, that the free version of Acrobat should do the same thing.

I hope this helps.

I skipped over this in my prior reply. So disregard my last comment. I might still be liable for GST when the book arrives.

In the face of this, I am therefore not completing and mailing a second order form using your form #2--or, should I be submitting an order using form #2?

Appreciate your further advice.

Doug,

The situation is such that I’m not sure of what you were up to with Sterling, but one way or another an order came in from you at 9:37 PST for one book.

Er, that news may not have reached the Canadian government, which is very adamant that I should pay GST and a variety of other T for things Ihat I consume in and outside of that benighted country.
Ah, so it's not a US Sales tax, but a general sales tax to be applied against other taxes. I was expecting to pay the GST when the book arrived. But you're in effect paying it for me, so I should have no hassles with GST when the book arrives. This is even better. The Canadian GST rate is 5%.

Now, if Dan orders a product from Canada, he should NOT pay GST. Similarly, as an Albertan, if I order goods from BC, I don't pay their sales tax either. But this is off-topic.

Thank you for the clarification, Dan.

In view of the extreme shortness of time I will refrain from turning it into a work of art and have now posted it to our files section, direct link

To reiterate some of the points:

*The thread in which so many members announced that they intended to buy, and sometimes buy multiple copiesthat was advisory only. To actually get the book through this process you need to fill out the interactive PDF and fax or e-mail it per the instructions. And, because the pressrun starts Monday, we need this right awaynot later than Tuesday for the new book, not later than tomorrow if you are trying to get a signed copy of Modern Photoshop Color Workflow.

*No payment is required when submitting the form. You will shortly after submitting it receive an automated invoice, which you can pay by Paypal, Venmo, credit card, digital check, or any major crypto. That final payment has to be received by Wednesday.

*The form also offers a large discount on copies of Modern Photoshop Color Workflow. I need to know in the next 24 hours how many copies I can try to put in my luggage. Note that Sterling has offered to send additional copies separately from Atlanta if I cannot bring enough to the printing. Those, however, wont be autographed.

*The form has a comments field where you can request an autograph if possible. As I said to George earlier, I am told by the printer that this will work, but I cant guarantee it. So if you dont want the books shipped UNLESS they are autographed, put that in the comments field.

Thanks to Sterling for solving a lot of unforeseen technical issues with this process, and thanks to all of you for your great interest in this book, which caused us to be more optimistic about how many copies to print.

I raise this question in case this was overlooked.

Regardless of the answer, I will be placing my order today.

I want to thank Dan, Sterling, and everyone else who has helped in this process. I look forward to reading Dan's book.

Unless you've inspired this or I am misunderstanding, these people seem aware of this too ...

At least, it might be good for yet another variation (or 20) to add in... ;-)

Re: Free WordPress Theme for Photographers

Thanks very much for posting.  I've been looking for a theme for my portfolio site but this one shares a limitation I've found in many themes which is a bias toward standardized aspect ratios and the tiling made possible by that.  When you are a designer working with stock or commissioned photos that you can crop any way you like, that is a useful approach, but it doesnt work so well for artwork where the aspect ratio (and orientation) is driven by other factors.

I don’t know what is the quotation at other Amazon vendors in Europe but
maybe  the pre-order + shipping fees would be however cheaper than purchasing at Amazon Italy.

I think I will wait for the right pre-order form.

It sounds like this answers Beat’s question as well as yours. In the U.S. Amazon charges a little less than €70 for MCPW. So apparently they wish to charge €100 extra for the privilege of buying in Europe. So I would say our $40 shipping charge is preferable.
