Reminder: Washington Cathedral Flower Mart White Elephant LAST donations drop off this Saturday from 10am to 1pm

Dear Listserv neighbors,
The White Elephant Tent is Flower Mart’s unique boutique for nearly new household items or old treasures. We are having our last donation drop offs this Saturday April 1st from 10am to 1 pm . If you have been looking for an excuse to organize and declutter, here is your chance to donate those “oldies but goldies” to a worthy endeavor. We accept dishes, glasses, stainless, china, crystal, seasonal decorations, framed artwork, linens, jewelry and other fashion accessories, decorative pillows, pot, pans, ceramic bowls, and small appliances. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept books, baskets, clear flower vases, clothing, or furniture. SPECIAL REQUEST: PLEASE DONATE ONLY CLEAN ITEMS. WE ARE STAFFED BY VOLUNTEERS AND USE VOLUNTEERS’ RESIDENCES. WE HAVE HAD MOTHS, SPIDERS AND OTHER INSECTS INFILTRATE OUR HOMES. PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF THIS WHEN DONATING. WE SINCERELY THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION. DONATION DATE: April 1, 2023 TIME: 10 am to 1 pm DROP OFF LOCATION: 3101 Appleton Street NW (this is the garage side of the house. You’ll see a driveway and a drop off sign. Please ring the doorbell and we’ll come to the driveway to help you) DIRECTIONS: From Connecticut Avenue, head north. Turn right on Albemarle and immediate left turn to 32nd Street. Turn right on Appleton Street NW. We are the last house in the left side. You can park on the street or the driveway. Please ring the doorbell and we’ll come out to help you. If lost, please call Lucie at (301) 938-2861. Donations are tax deductible.
