I just want to reiterate what a treasure Wayne Fisher is. He is the kindest and most reliable handyman I have had the good fortune to hire. He's always shown up, called, responded to emails, and done what he said he would do unfailingly, and also quite reasonably.

[snip] we went with Wayne Fisher because he was almost almost the first responder (#2), would be doing the work himself, and I remembered seeing other excellent handyman recs for him in this list. He was fabulous! Took the chandeliers down, then volunteered to help us take them downstairs to our storage cages, “settled them in” so they wouldn’t get damaged and, then, volunteered again to help us bring a pile of wooden blinds back to the apartment that we are vacating. Wow! We will definitely use him again. (BTW he lives on Connecticut Ave too.)
