There’s a flock of about 50 curlews at the YOLO bypass, the north east corner of the main driving route, the pond where there’s a new bridge. I got out of the car and went over to an equipment landing pad and was able to see the curlews. The thing that was cool is that there were immature birds with shorter bills and it was really obvious. Definitely NOT whimbrels. As the wind got stronger of course everything tucked down. Wind about 30mph. I intended to go earlier.
