Hello all Central Valley Birders,

Today I co-led a Bald Eagle walk on the Fresno County side of Millerton Lake for the San Joaquin River Parkway. While we did not see any Eagles, the highlight of the day was a Horned Grebe near the shore about 2/3rds down the trail from McKenzie Point to Winchell Cove. We got some good looks at the bird, and I managed to get two photos that are on the eBird list. On the way back, the Grebe had moved to a point on the lake near the beginning of the trail, but it was still close to the shore and easily visible.
