Update on NEO CORMORANT at Woodward Reservoir
I had the bird from 1:30-2:30 with Jim Gain. We left, I went into town for lunch and then came back to the lake. All I’m seeing now are DCCO.

Re: [countybirders] [StanislausBirds] Possible Pacific Loon at Woodward Reservoir
I just looked closer at the two photos of the loon that Richard sent to me and I agree; It does look like Common. Guess I'll have to go back out tomorrow and look for that Pacific again.

The photo below taken yesterday shows what looks to me like a Common Loon. But the photos from two days ago looked perfect for Pacific Loon. You did mention two different loons present two days ago.

I just saw another eBird report from same location with photos of what appears to be a Common Loon that was likely the second but more distant loon that Jim had reported.

It’s a perfectly good Pacific Loon with the small bill and plumage.

I took some pictures of what I believe is an oddly plumaged Killdeer. I can’t think what else it could possibly be, but the complete lack of black & the extra rufous coloration definitely gave me
