Tennessee warbler at Babel Slough

Michael Perrone

Today at about 8:30 AM i found a first-fall Tennessee warbler along Babel Slough Road, about 200 yards in from River Road in Yolo County. Migrants were numerous, including fall arrivals such as sandhill crane (overhead), red-breasted sapsucker, ruby-crowned kinglet, hermit thrush, flicker, golden-crowned and Lincoln's sparrow and junco. Yellow and black-throated gray were the most numerous warblers.
