Re: BETA update
Hello Ryan and all, toggle quoted message. . .
I’ve been using the Calm app for a few days and really enjoy it.
This is an application helping with mindfullness and sleep. There are a few exercises video to imput through out the day, for example, a morning wake up, a back care exercise, or an evening wine down. These small video are explained enough for someone who is alreay familiar with stretching because the coaches gives enough verbal feedback for us to understand the movements without seeing but not to understand them if you don’t know the bases.
There’s a good collection of calm music that I’ve been listening to at work and a sleep tab with bedtime stories that I found soothing.
On the home tab, there’s a meditation of the day, and at night, a story of the day and some other featured embiant relaxing sounds or music appears on the home tab.
I think it’s a good app to introduce relaxation in our daily lives.
It’s almost completely accessible, I’ve seen a few unmarked buttons butt they are not necessary to play the tracks, put them in our favorite or download them on our device so I didn’t investigate further.
Another small details that may confuse some people is that the exit button to go back is not always at the same place in the different ppages we use. It,s always exit though, so its simple to understand.
Here’s what I have for you today,

Yes, iSmoothRun is quite accessible. There are areas that aren’t, but the voice feedback during a workout and viewing the log history all work nicely. I don’t have any useful vision, and it works well. I do have a bit of trouble creating specific workouts, so I don’t do that very much. I tend to modify the base workouts rather than creating lengthy ones of my own. I’m sure if I spent more time with it, I would figure it out. E.g., prompting for intervals, etc. I just set it to report evry minute, and change things up on my own.
I think if I spent time with it, though, it would be quite doable. But for my useage, just working with the defaults works go
All of the apps I mentioned are free.
