emacs folder macos maverick

I have an old macbook with OS 10.9.5 running bemacs 8.4. 8.4 is the version I found that supports OSX 10.9.5

Where is the default emacs folder?  I want to put my mlisp files there.

The emacs_user: defaults to ~/bemacs folder.

It will read the emacsinit.ml from there and find any other .ml or .mlp files you put in there.
