Assistive Technology Interest Group, run by blind and partially sighted people in New Zealand to help each other to solve technical assistive technology problems and queries.

The term "adaptive technology" covers such items as screen readers, speech synthesisers, magnification, useful tweaks to mainstream software and any of the specialised products developed for use by blind people. You are welcome to raise on this list any topic relevant to maximising the use of today's technology by blind people, particularly with an emphasis on the New Zealand scene.

We encourage anyone who actively uses or works in the field of adaptive technology to join this list and participate fully in any discussions. You are equally welcome to just observe and make good use of the information you will receive.
