My protocol was coating the paper and waiting 15-30 minutes before exposure (no hair dryer or fan, wait time depending on paper and humidity of my studio), and I was always using a 2 mil mylar sheet b

Hi Bob. High humidity in the paper will give you shorter exposure times and higher dmax. (And colder tint.)

Ditto, just calibrate for plain formula, then you will just have to fiddle with the exposure time when you change the chemistry. Since it's a pop process you already check the progresss of the exposur

Hi Jason, IME a year (even 1/2 year) is too much. I never kept vandyke solutions more than 3 months. Try the citric acid trick. It is possible to dilute the toning solution and/or cut the toning time
