I recommend you continue saving until you get to $300, then buy yourself a set of Ambeo binaural earbud microphones. They're the best for the money, you can use any application that can record using other devices besides just the iPhone's microphone, and they make fantastic recordings. The Hooke Audio binaurals are cheaper, but they're Bluetooth, and their implementation of high-end audio over Bluetooth is frankly terrible, with lots of dropouts and disconnects. You'll be instantly disappointed in them.

This will annoy you, but I figure if it happens once, it can happen again. Recently, the Ambeos were offered for one hundred pounds in the UK. Some folks I know who didn't own them yet took advantage of this by contacting UK friends, sending them the equivalent of one hundred pounds (about $140) plus a few more dollar for shipping, and their friend took care of getting them a set. So, just remember, what goes around, comes around. If it happens again, you'll probably hear about it and will take advantage of it. In the meantime, keep up the good saving work and you'll have a set soon enough.

It offers two functions, which can be controlled using the rocker switch. You can either activate the Transparent Hearing function to fade the outside noise into your personal programme, which lets you stay safe when you are on the street. Or you can deploy the active noise cancellation, blocking out your acoustic environment to enjoy your music undisturbed. Situational Awareness also works when you are recording or making a call and can, of course, also be turned off. A full-fledged, easy-to-use headset Beside its unique 3D audio capabilities, the Ambeo Smart Headset is also a high-quality headset, offering intuitive handling and great Sennheiser sound. Ok, that’s the one i was thinking of. I am not really fond of recording with a pair of bluetooth mics that might loose the connecthin in the middle of the recording. Also bluetooth is wireles and compressed which isn’t something i like. But maybe they are recording with lossless streaming so i wont say i buy them in the future. /A

The really good thing about this mic is the super cool settings in the accompanying app. All kinds of nice eqs and other sound optimization settings. Infact you can try the Motif app without even having the microphone. Rode has the IXY mic. It goes into the lightning port. Zoom also made 1 but the thing with that 1 is that it only allows you to record DVD quality. You can only go up to 48 KHZ 16 bits with it. The Rode 1 though not adjustable to 120 degrees like the Zoom does let you go to ful 96 KHZ 24 bits Blu-Ray disk quality.

I had problems with those Rode mics -- I had two of them stop working
properly after several months. You would hear a noise every so often particularly when things were quiet. On Wed, 15 Apr 2020 12:10:56 -0400, Hamit Campos wrote: -- Your life is like a penny. You're going to lose it. The question is: How do you spend it? John Covici wb2una covici@ccs.covici.com
