converting tv series from DVD?

Hi all,
I have a tv series that I have purchased.
I wish to convert it from dvd to store on a drive.
There is a directory called
video_ts that has lots of files.
Can I just copy that folder into a directory and then work out what files to play or is there an easier way using a programme?

There is a tool called handbreak which can convert it to mp4 or
whatever -- and you will need a library to defeat the encryption, but
I forget its name at the moment.

Hi!
I think if you install vlc media player you will get that library.
Otherewise you can convert a dvd with vlc too.
