Box Android TV Gateway Set Top Box

Hi.
I’ve been fortunately enough to obtain one of these boxes though the item did take 3 weeks to arrive here.
Box can do several different things depending on the model of Box you buy.
The concept is based around 4 TV tuners.
The Version I have is the Android Gateway so you get an Android Interface to control the 4 tuners along with IOS/Android Apps for control and a HTML web interface.
Talkback is included in the package so - if you wish to control the box using Android - you have complete accessibility and the freedom to install extra Apps onto the box such as Youtube and Netflix.
The Box connects to the Internet either by Wi-Fi or the Ethernet connector.
A HDMI socket is provide along with an optical fibre Digital-out for connection to a Television and surround-sound system - the Box handles both 4K HD and Surround-sound modes if required. -
Along with the Android control the Box is fully UPNP compatible therefore you can use your computer or any other device on your network to stream content from one or more of the tuners.
A hard drive, SD card, USB stick or NAS can be used for scheduled recording of TV programmes and so on.
I’m still exploring the rich feature set of the unit so will get back to the list with more soon.

Wow this sounds cool. Is this something I could get here in the good old US of A? Though right now I don't have cable but I still geek out on this kinda stuff.

You certainly may get the Box models in the US of A, they are world-wide compatible but unfortunately I don’t have an URL handy right now, you will find them on Google, you can order them directly or perhaps you may find a local distributor.

Ah cool. Now is it just plug and play? Or do you need a cable card. Because if you need a cable card, oh boy oh boy getting Comcast to be honest about them. lol They sometimes even act like they don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Depending on what model you choose.
The cable model - with Free-To-Air Tuners included by the way - plugs straight into your cable facility, a satellite model is also available.
