Audio learning resources

Hi folk,

I wonder as a comparative newbee could you recommend any tutorials/podcasts etc. for learning audio as a beginner.

Thinking of say file sizes, compression anddifferent file types and other to get started with?

It would be good to know too how to know what can be sent say in an email as compared with just providing a link to a file sharing service?

Thanks for any assist with this,

Tony Sweeney

Hello Tony,

I don’t know if it is still available now so I’ll provide a link below. There were CAVI classes that were made public, then I think withdrawn. Because it was a course of using Reaper and the key mappings had changed. However, the first part is called audio essentials. Which is very informative and will help you.

Brian Hartgen <www.hartgen.org>offers a few courses on some audio products: Gold Wave, Soundforge and Reaper comes to mind.

Hi Gina,

Thank you for the link to those CAVI early tutorials.

They downloaded successfully and I look forward to reading and studying them in full.

Regards,

Tony Sweeney
