Hi! Last week about this time I won a 50 inch 4K ultra Vizio smart TV, and need some speakers. We don't need surround sound just simple and sounding good. I think the back of the TV has RCA jacks for audio, but the output is not variable from them so I suppose there should be a remote which can be then handled by the main remote for volume from the cable box. We have Spectrum out here, so the cable box now talks. So please, suggest what you recommend I buy. My wife is getting impatient, :) (sort of) but we wish something decent sounding which I know you guys understand. :)

Now I have read the manual and there is a way to make the RCA output from the TV, variable, just a matter of turning it on from the menus. Also, there is a way to turn on speech in the accessibility menu, and according to the manual all of it will then speak. That is quite exciting, so what I need to know is, are there any others of the Vizio TV on this list who have turned on the speech and just using what is available from within the unit, able to manage all menus and options? What they always forget is that there is no way that someone without sight can get to the menu and turn on the speech, and I hear it is "talk back," so I wonder how it sounds. I just have to get a sighted person over here and to play with my remote and see. :)

I’ve been looking at the manual again.
Unfortunately the specifications don’t say what OS the TV is running and there is no mention of Android so - as it appears to me - the Television isn’t an Android set so therefore - and the manual sort of confirms this - the Talk Back access you have is only for adjustments of settings and not much else if anything at all so therefore Talk Back is just a name given to the feature it seems rather than actually being the Android Talk Back Screen Reader App itself as you can install or see on Android devices.
It is exciting enough to be able to adjust settings and whether your TV is Android or not may not bother you and fair enough, after all you do buy a Television for the audio and sound I would imagine.
The Talk Back only seems to be in English and that wouldn’t be the case if the Television was Android as you would be able to use or install Talkback to your own language preference.
Some other notes I made.
The Television talks about its “Smart Cast” capabilities which sound nice but don’t be at all surprised if you can’t access these via speech.
There is no mention of DLNA compatibility, Google Cast compatibility etc in the manual that I can find so I would like to assume that these functions are part of your Smart Television and I sincerely hop that my assumption is right.
Good luck with all of that and keep us informed as to how you’re going, what system you end up connecting etc.
