Sample of the Denon Heos 7 HS2 Powered Network Speaker

Folks,
If you love bassy music this baby definitely is worth the money. But don't leen too much on such a demonstration cause it's extremely difficult to record a loutspeaker.

Yes, that's $600 U.S. Okay, actually, $599 U.S., but yes, I live in Ohio, so when I go to Amazon, all prices are in U.S. dollars.

With all due respect. Maybe then the LS-14 mics didn't do it much justice. It did sound good. But well I'm not sure about $600 good. I'll take another listen perhaps but woe dude. That's $600 US right?

Wow pretty good speaker.

Well here's a link that tells you what the Denon Heos 7 is and how it stacks up.
The review could be a little more detailed I think but then again reviews have to be easily read and understood.
The price is interesting. I paid $750 for mine back in June last year I think it was so I've been enjoying the Heos 7 for quite some time.
Anyway here's the review at https://www.whathifi.com/denon/heos/multi-room/review

The Denon Heos Speaker isn’t bad for what it is, cheaper than a Sonos Play 7 and - according to many reviews - sounding better and certainly able to handle more audio formats.

Maybe I missed a description of the speaker, but how would one know if the
bass not being centered was the speaker or the particular performance?

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

It does sound pretty good, but the bass is off to the right instead of
centered, which would cause me to not want to use it.

Hey Dane,
It sounds really cool!
Maybe a little bassy but as you say probably the mike placement.
In fact I like the sound.

That could be for a number of reasons.
Firstly I’m wasn’t exact with the position of the microphone as this was just a sample.
Secondly the centre microphone of the recorder was active which does tend to over emphasise the bass a little bit and I deliberately did this to pick up the sub-woofer in the unit.
So in short I suppose I best add some details.
The Heos 7 HS2 itself has 5 drivers in total plus 2 passive radiators - 5 drivers consist of 2 mid-range, 2 tweeters and a sub-woofer which is actually set below the mid volume, all other drivers are set to their mid settings.
The device I used to capture this was the Olympus LS-14.
