For what you wana do hell even Sound Forge Audio Studio will do just devine. I pump youtube vids that are too dam low with it. Even some of the DVD stuff I extract with DVD Audio Extractor I give a

Evan: You may want to give MP3 Direct Cut a try! It's accessible and is free (unless they've updated it and changed things) MP3 Direct Cut is capable of deleting parts of files and can change

GoldWave is worth the financial investment.
As an experienced user, I don't find it difficult.
