I agree, I love most of there recorders, and I stil enjoy the dm7 as
well. The only thing I don't like about ls14, is that the mikes is not
as crisp as the ls100 or zoom stuff, but yes its very quiet. Its also
the only recorder that have the ability to split files while recording
in real time. And yes to overdub is so easy on both ls14 and p4.

I agree, I love most of there recorders, and I stil enjoy the dm7 as
well. The only thing I don't like about ls14, is that the mikes is not
as crisp as the ls100 or zoom stuff, but yes its very quiet. Its also
the only recorder that have the ability to split files while recording
in real time. And yes to overdub is so easy on both ls14 and p4.

Wow, this is the first I've heard of this recorder. It definitely looks very int interesting especially as a great note taker. Thanks for mentioning it. I downloaded the manual and listened to some of the YouTube videos available on their site. It’s a bit expensive but not so bad when you consider that I paid over $300 for my DM4.

Eagerly awaiting the arrival tomorrow of my ls-p1 recorder and
had one question.


Does the ls-p series actually contain a text to speech
synthesizer as I am told the olympus dm-4 does?


I ask because I would like to give names to the folders on the
recorder and possibly create new ones and have their names
spoken.
