This is the cheapest £526 has a rating of 4.3 on 3 reviews and doesn’t appear to mention 32 bit. https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Zoom-F6-UK-Field-Recorder/dp/B07RT9QMCB/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Zoom+F6&qid=1591550649&sr=8-1 This version sounds like an import. Re: Zoom F6 fans I have a question

Hi Gena. Please shair the link to see. As far as I know there's only 1 F6. But then again who knows. I saw something similar with the H6. I looked for it again just to see whom the target buyer was and now I find an all new Black H6. But mom tells me mine is black. So I don't get this new all black H6. We'd have to ask Zoom. Ah so gelous if you get 1. lol I'd love an F6. For the sound quality. Again not nocking the H6. I love mine. But the F recorders sound or seem to sound that much closer to the Sound Devices recorders. As to Neal and him demoing his F6 he said he would. So it's in the wings I guess. Maybe that's what he's working on.

Hello All,
I just looked on Amazon for the zoom F6. Glad to see they are in stock. But there seems to be 2 versions. Is there 2 versions i.e. one that supports 32 float bit recording and one that doesn’t? Thank you. Gena Call: M0EBP DMR ID: 2346259 Loc: IO83PS 73

I whent into my programe files and found it sitting there. I entered on it and there was all the files correctly titled in WAV format. My old copy of CDEX was years ago, so now this bata version also titles eeach track so that's magic. I'm going to mess about more with it tomorrow because what's the use of CD's anyway? Hi Andy,

If you heard them converting then you don't need to press anything else. By default, I think the files are placed in the CDEX folder in Program Files. To find out where, when in CDEX, press F4. Arrow up or down to Directories & files and tab 3 times. You should hear the directory where the files are. This can be changed. If the titles are 01-AudioTrack 01.mp3 etc, then you need to configure CDEX to look up the titles database. Of course, it might not have that particular CD. Regards, Barry Chapman

Audio Playback Issue with Apple Devices
Danny Miles
OK, so this is a rather random/unusual question, but any info or
advice will be gratefully received. I've often played content from my iPhone 5S into another source (digital recorder, amp, etc) for the purposes of recording or for musical accompaniment. This has never caused me any issues and, although VoiceOver leads to a small amount of background hiss/static being expressed while the phone is talking, the playback quality of audio material is unaffected by this and all distortion/hiss stops as soon as the phone's speech output ends. I therefore assumed that all iOS and iOSPad products would allow me to do the same things, but I've found over the last few days (the first time that I've actually tried to use other devices) that both the iPad Mini and the iPod Touch (6th generation) present material with a much greater amount of feedback once VoiceOver is activated, even if VO is then turned off and no other gestures are used. These issues aren't apparent when using the devices by themselves, but the additional noises are very obvious to me when listening with headphones or playing back a recording. So, does anyone please know why my iPhone is much more obliging (for example, because it uses more/less power than the other devices, because it has a different type of speaker, because it draws on phone signals, etc)? Also, presuming that my analysis so far is correct and the iPhone is the way to go, would this be the same with larger/more powerful/more recent models or only with older models like the 5S? Many, many thanks in advance for any help. Take care, Danny

Plantronics Back Beat Pro 2 Bluetooth headphones sound issue with Microphone
Yusuf Osman
Hi, I'm using a Windows10 machine and the headphones in the subject line. I'm having a bit of a problem and was hoping that someone here might be able to help. I know of 2 people who are having similar issues, but with different Bluetooth headphones/Mic combinations.
In Zoom when I select the Plantronics as the speaker, with the name, headphones PLT-BBTPro Stereo the test sound is heard fine. When testing the Microphone in Zoom, if I select my Plantronics headphones called, Headset PLT-BBTPRO Handsfree AG Audio, All sound stops. I can only get it back by switching to a different microphone. I've read this https://www.poly.com/gb/en/support/knowledge-base/kb-article-page?lang=en_US&urlName=BackBeat-PRO-Poor-Audio-Quality-When-Used-With-PC&type=Troubleshooting__kav which suggests that when using the Mic the audio deteriorates because the Bluetooth profile changes from A2DP to HSP. It doesn't indicate that the sound would stop completely though. Is anyone else using this headset or having a similar problem with other Bluetooth headphones? Does anyone know a way round this issue? If not what Bluetooth headphones are people using that will not have this problem? It is very strange as when connected to my Pixel3 phone it works fine with both the Mic and sound coming out fine. Cheers Yusuf

My winamp (5.666) will play most .m4a files. I have downloaded a lot of plugins for it over the years to give it the ability to play different formats though and I can't recall if that was one. Maybe search around for winamp .m4a plugins on google if you want this to work.

Sounds like you got it solved. Just a bit of clarification of my own though; an m3u file is nothing more than a text file that contains a playlist.

Pleased it worked for you. There are other values in the tabs but not altogether sure how these can be used, maybe more trials experimenting with these setting could produce better quality sound. As, no doubt, you have noticed, there are other algorythms available, but I have found the first one, similarity, gives consistently the best results.
