Hi,

I have a spoken-word file with clicks in it. The clicks are heard when the person is speaking.

Suggestions on how to remove the clicks please. I have Audacity, GoldWave, and RX.

The only thing one has to be aware of when recording from the NV88 and I assume the MV88 as well is the low level of these microphones and this may not be a terrible thing particularly if you’re one of those people who like to record loud sounds such as a live band or approaching train.
For VoiceOver users and Talkback users be aware that the MV88 may very well route your Screen Reader through the Headphone socket rather than the Built-In Speaker of the phone.

From: Gordon Smith <gordon@...>
Subject: [Mac-Access]: Apple Provides List Of Upcoming
Airplay2-enabled Smart TVs Apple Shares List of AirPlay 2-Enabled
Smart TVs From Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio

A few days ago, Apple announced that AirPlay 2-enabled smart TVs are coming soon from leading manufacturers, and there have subsequently been a series of announcements from Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio at CES 2019 which would seem to give additional credence to Apple’s release.

Apple has now shared a list of AirPlay 2–enabled TVs. They have announced to date:

• LG OLED (2019)
• LG NanoCell SM9X series (2019)
• LG NanoCell SM8X series (2019)
• LG UHD UM7X series (2019)
• Samsung QLED Series (2019 and 2018)
• Samsung 8 Series (2019 and 2018)
• Samsung 7 Series (2019 and 2018)
• Samsung 6 Series (2019 and 2018)
• Samsung 5 Series (2019 and 2018)
• Samsung 4 Series (2019 and 2018)

• Sony Z9G Series (2019)
• Sony A9G Series (2019)
• Sony X950G Series (2019)
• Sony X850G Series (2019 85", 75", 65" and 55" models)

• Vizio P-Series Quantum (2019 and 2018)
• Vizio P-Series (2019, 2018 and 2017)
• Vizio M-Series (2019, 2018 and 2017)
• Vizio E-Series (2019, 2018 and 2017)
• Vizio D-series (2019, 2018 and 2017)

We've yet to see any AirPlay 2 announcements from smaller brands such as TCL, Hisense, Panasonic, or Toshiba. But that doesn’t mean we won’t!

AirPlay 2 support will vary across manufacturers in terms of functionality. However, at the very least, it will allow users to stream video, audio, photos, and more directly from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac to supported smart TVs. HomeKit support is also coming to many of these TVs, enabling users to control volume, playback, and more using Siri or the Home app on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Samsung announced that its latest smart TVs are also getting an exclusive iTunes TV and movie app for accessing the storefront.

Apple is widely expected to launch a "Netflix-esque" streaming video service later this year, and AirPlay 2 support on leading smart TVs would make it easier for users to stream Apple's original content on the big screen without an Apple TV. Rumours suggest Apple could introduce the service within the first half of 2019.

I’m planning to upgrade my lounge TV at some point this year. So knowing this will be very useful. I think it could potentially give those with a vision impairment quite a lot of functionality which we currently don’t have access too. This is particularly true of those TV’s for which remote control is available via an app.

The news has also dissuaded me from upgrading my fourth generation Apple TV.

Hi Christopher. Thanks very much for your suggestions. I was aware

BTW, my self-employed work is all about media and communication

As someone who deals with podcast production for a living, I can give

As you said, Wordpress is often used. Once the theme is configured, you
don't need to do too much messing around with it.

A Decent Wordpress-independent solution is Libsyn.

Another option is Buzzsprout.

Here's one more, Blubrry.

Although Blubrry seems to be more focused on Wordpress, compared to the
other two I mentioned, I like the accessibility.

Hi everyone. Apologies if this is off-topic but, as it relates to
sharing audio content, I hope it's suitable for the list.

I'm looking for advice from anyone who is totally blind regarding the
best (most accessible) places to host a podcast. Ideally, this would
be somewhere that has a set template, saving me the necessity of
checking with someone sighted whether or not changes or additions to
the page are visually appropriate. I've previously used Audioboom
(when it was Audioboo, admittedly) and Mixcloud to upload content but,
as I'm not aware of being able to share posts from either of these
platforms to iTunes via an RSS feed, they don't really meet my needs.
I know that Wordpress and related blogging servers are often used but,
as far as I understand it, these still require initial theme selection
and potentially continuous visual monitoring to ensure a professional
presentation (just like any DIY website). I thought about uploading
an audio podcast to Youtube with an image attached but, again, I don't
think content from here can be shared to iTunes (which, as far as I
understand it, is the place where most downloads come from).

So, any suggestions or guidance will be much appreciated. If the
topic is too wide or if the subject matter is irrelevant to this list,
please email me directly via

Many thanks - take care, Danny
