What was the turnaround time you experienced?

Hi,

Immediate – I posted, went to the groups.io and the message was there. A few seconds later the e-mail was received.

I have two groups which I may migrate to groups.io.

Radios are also boring. Have a kitten.

Looks like .io handles images better than yahoo, from my phone I don't have to login to the webpage to view attachments, and we know how much Simon loves his screenshots

That's all in the YahooGroups settings.
Attachments can be inline, saved, or removed.

io seems much faster, but I'm sure they don't
have a tiny fraction of the traffic Yahoo has.

Yahoo can be fast at times too. I do wonder what might happen if every group on Yahoo moves to groups.io; whether it might also suffer under the load.

I strongly dislike the attachments being sent with the message body, though, rather than being stored on the Web. As I keep the messages (I am an e-mail user) it means that messages with large attachments will just have to be deleted here. Sigh!

Sorry, can't agree there. When a response saying e.g. "Yes" occupies tens of kilobytes there's something grossly wrong.....

Yes, and even using the web gui, though it is not my preferred way to interaction.
I have to admit that is quite usable on tablet.
It seems to me a good improvement when compared with the old Yahoo.
We will see if it is going to stay stable and with a good performance level.

And when the sender has a bizarre idea of text size and colours...

David,

Does your email program not have the "Delete Attachment" facility? Although with the enormous sizes of drives these days a few GB hardly gets noticed:-)

But again, I feel that any attachment should be small, there are most likely many with slow or expensive connections.
Now, that reminds me, there is an option in the groups.io Subscription - Membership - Advanced - No Attachnents
